Safe, Non-Surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation

At Dr. G Plastic Surgery, we use Votiva with Fractora V by InMode for safe, effective, non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation. Votiva offers both internal and external treatment to address a wide variety of feminine wellness issues.

What is Votiva?

Votiva is a biopolar radiofrequency-based treatment with two different modes: one for internal treatment, and one for external. The external mode is performed with Fractora V radiofrequency microneedling, while the internal uses a probe that has three panels which deliver radiofrequency energy through the walls of the vagina. The internal probe is movement-based, and as it goes over the tissues, the heat tightens the tissues and stimulates brand-new healthy collagen, which will create more lubrication and sensitivity/arousal. The treatment also helps with urinary incontinence. This is an excellent treatment for any age, and can also be used to prevent severe vaginal aging in the future.

What to Expect During the Procedure

Our procedure rooms are very comfortable, and you will feel very relaxed with us. Sessions take approximately 30-60 minutes. Once you have been made comfortable on an exam table, treatment will begin. For the external treatment with radiofrequency microneedling, patients will need to be numbed.

However, for the internal procedure using just the probe, no anesthetic is necessary. The sensation will just feel a little warm, and you will feel the probe moving in and out as it smooths the tissues.

As the probe works and builds heat within the vaginal canal, the device will make a repetitive beeping sound to let us know that treatment is complete in each area.

Some patients only require one session, but three treatments (scheduled one month apart) is average.

Downtime and Results

One of the best things about Votiva is that there is no downtime. You can even have sexual intercourse the same day if you want. You will most likely feel some swelling and fullness for 1-2 days, and this is a sign that the treatment is working. It means that your blood flow is increasing and that the new collagen growth has been triggered.

For some patients results are immediate, while others see and feel their results in about one week. Results can last up to one year or longer, with improved tightening over the course of about six months. We recommend maintenance treatments as needed, usually 3-12 months.

Who is a Good Candidate for Votiva?

  • Are unhappy with their vagina feeling loose or dry
  • Have trouble reaching orgasm
  • Feel that their sexual desire has decreased
  • Feel that they have a weak bladder and sometimes leak urine
  • Feel that their intimate life is suffering because of vaginal issues

Labiaplasty and Other Surgical Options

In some women, the labia majora, labia minora, or both become enlarged due to the forces of childbirth or weight gain. In others, they are just naturally larger than desired. In any event, enlarged labia may:

  • Cause pain with certain types of clothing or activities
  • Create hygiene problems
  • Create problems with sexual activity
  • Cause personal discomfort and self-consciousness because of the appearance

Labiaplasty is a procedure designed to surgically reduce the size of enlarged labia and address these issues directly.

It is a safe, straightforward surgery usually performed in the office procedure room under local anesthesia.

While there may be a brief period during which certain activities such as exercise or some kinds of sexual activity are on hold during healing, the recovery is usually very quick and easy, and labiaplasty patients return back to their full activities before too long.

There are different techniques used for labiaplasty depending upon each woman’s needs and goals. Dr. Grzeskiewicz can advise you about which would be best for your specific case.
