Using safe radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate collagen and rejuvenate the skin’s appearance, Fractora™ resurfacing offers a convenient treatment for those with specific skin concerns.
What to Expect During Treatment
Before your Fractora treatment begins, your skin will be cleansed and we will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin to help numb the area. Dr. G may also place nerve blocks with local anesthetic—very much like a visit to the dentist—in order to make it more comfortable for you to get a more thorough treatment. Once your skin is properly numbed, we will remove the topical cream. Dr. G will determine the ideal depth of the microneedles, and the Fractora hand-held device will then begin to “stamp” the treatment area, pushing microneedles into the skin and delivering radiofrequency heat energy with each stamping motion. Two passes are typically performed in order to evenly treat layers of skin and to ensure that collagen production is kick-started in all the right places. Treatments take approximately 30-45 minutes, and 1-4 sessions are usual, depending on your skin’s condition and your goals.
